I'm a highly experience professional with proven success and a range of skills, competencies.
I created my "handle," "smilingdba" when I first established my web presence, before the trend of just using your name. But I still like it as I think it's catchy and memorable and actually highlights one of my best strengths: I have always loved what I do! I love working with others and I am driven to create products of value. This could be a requirements analysis, a "How To" procedure, a narrated training video.
I will always remember the DBA who marked all his belongings with his alter-ego, "Cujo" in addition to the frequently heard criticism about sysadmins, particularly DBA colleagues, being miserable and difficult. So, for me "smilingdba" said it all, back in that day. And it still does. Do an awesome job with a smile!
So, yes, I do have DBA skills and experience, along with SAP Basis Administration (including software installation, SAP security implementation and management, applying patches (OSS Notes), performance monitoring and management.
Continuous learning is a critical skill and task in our contemporary world. My most recent job has been training development and delivery. I have developed my skills on different delivery modalities including instructor led training (ILT), virtual instructor led training (vILT), web-based training including e-learning, learning simulations and learning assessments.
